location. The Lapa is a poverty place in Rio de Janeiro. The streets are really dirty and a lot of beggars around of that location. You need have a extra care of yourself when you are on the street. Just bargain a lot there.

I had such a great experience at this hotel! the prices were very reasonable, especially considering it's located in the heart of the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I particularly liked the attention to detail in the rooms, with amenities like a small fridge and cable TV. Additionally, the breakfast was delicious and served in the room, which was a nice touch.

I couldn't find anything to complain about – everything was perfect!

The staff is very friendly. Our flight was at 8 pm and we checked out at 12 pm but the hotel let us stay in the room till 6 pm (using showers and so on).

The room was not very clean and I had to ask to change it. The hotel manager changed the room with no problems and the new ones was slightly better but still not clean up to European standards.

the staff was incredibly accommodating and attentive, going above and beyond to meet my needs. Secondly, the room was spacious and well-maintained, providing great value for money. Lastly, the hotel's location in the city center made it convenient for exploring all the attractions. I also appreciated the attention to detail, such as the western-style rooms and delicious breakfast. Plus, the feijoada lunch organized during Carnaval was a delightful surprise!

No issues, everything was great.

Excellent location. Next to Santa Teresa and inside the nightlife of the Lapa district. The tube station is 5 minutes safe walking, so in 15-20 minutes you can be at Maracana or at Ipanema. The room was clean and the personel very helpful (although some of them spoke only portuguese).Value for money.

The 3rd day we had to change room. The second room had a smell, but this was not a very serious problem

Hotel Villa Rica is placed in a good position to visit the city of Rio de Janeiro, just next to Lapa neighbourhood, where on Friday and Saturday there is the most colourful night life.

My room was a little bit small, a very negative thing was that the refrigerator was just next to the bed and a bit noisy

We loved the central location of the hotel, just a stone's throw from the famous beaches and within walking distance of the theatre district and the Lapa arches. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the breakfast was fantastic! The hotel staff was helpful in providing information about transportation and nearby parking facilities.

Spent Christmas at a hotel in Rio with friends, and it was a great experience. The location is amazing, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, and the rooftop pool was a great place to relax and enjoy the views. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, as the weather was hot and humid. a great place to stay in the heart of the city.

The rooms were a bit small, and the Wi-Fi was spotty at times. The noise from the streets could be heard quite clearly, but it was nothing too disruptive.

I found the staff very friendly and helpful. When asked about getting to a tourist site they explained in good detail and showed the way to catch the right bus etc. I felt secure stayng there. I will return.

I will say I had a great eperience staying there and would repeat a stay for sure for the price.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Rio! First of all, the location was superb, with the Lapa entertainment area just a short walk away. It was also conveniently close to the underground stations for easy access to Copacabana, Ipanema, and the city center. The hotel itself exceeded my expectations, with modern equipment in my room and a newly refurbished bathroom. The WiFi connection was excellent, allowing me to stay connected throughout my stay. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of delicious food and drinks to start the day right. the standards of this hotel were on par with what you would expect from a higher-rated establishment.

There wasn't a single negative aspect to my stay at this hotel. Everything was just perfect.

Incredibly noisy (room was beside an airwell with ten air-conditioning fans all out of sync with each other, and also next to elevator - could only sleep with earplugs and noise-cancelling headphones combined); room was comfortable but cramped - no desk or workspace; location is close to city centre but in fairly rough area (Lapa) with open prostitution etc nearby - caution definitely required...
